Information about your stay

You will always receive two key cards at check-in. With these you can open the door at the main entrance as well as the door to your apartment. The main door is opened by holding the card on the square black square below the bell on the pillar. This is the only access to the building outside of our concierge's opening hours. Therefore, please always carry a card with you. You also need the card for the power supply in your room. Please insert the card into the appropriate device next to the entrance door. On departure, please hand in all key cards to the concierge or drop them in the letterbox, which is in front of the office.

If you leave outside of our opening hours, put your room card in the post box provided for this purpose, which is attached to the concierge office. We wish you a pleasant journey home and look forward to welcoming you again soon.

Irons and ironing boards are available to you free of charge in our laundry room in the basement.

The heating is programmed for you to 17 degrees in summer and 21 degrees in winter. The apartments do not have air conditioning rather centrally controlled ventilation. With the thermostat, which you will find on the wall, you can also regulate the heating or switch it on and off.

On arrival we have 2 Nespresso capsules ready for you. You are welcome to purchase additional capsules from our concierge for € 5.00 per package of 10 capsules.

We offer various packages which you can borrow free of charge from our concierge and subject to availability. You can find a small overview here, our concierge can give you more information:

• A little retro feeling? We have a turntable with an exciting selection of vinyl records for you. 
• Shady weather and you want to make yourself really cozy in the apartment? A cozy wool blanket, a hot water bottle and a pillow with a built-in speaker will help you.
• In order to wake up pleasantly the next day, we will gladly lend you our daylight alarm clock.
• With tarot cards and pendulum you can dive into an esoteric world. 
• A yoga set will help you to relax after a stressful day. 
• You prefer it a bit rockier? An all-round equipment of Stratocaster, effect device with looper and drum is ready for you. So that no one feels disturbed, we will gladly add the appropriate headphones. Let's rock!

Parking spaces can be rented from our concierge. We have a total of 12 parking spaces which must be reserved. These are charged at €15.00 (€18.00 from January 1st, 2023) per day and parking space and provided with your license plate number for identification.

We are happy to receive mail or packages for you. We will be happy to deposit this in your mailbox, which is located at the concierge and is sorted by room number.

In case you get hungry for something sweet or salty, in the basement to the left of our elevator, there is a snack machine! 

Upon request and availability, we will be happy to provide you with a toaster.

Are you expecting visitors? Your guests can use the digital keypad on our front door to select their room number and ring you directly. You can easily open the door for them by pressing the key symbol on the system in your room.

The televisions have been pre-programmed by us for you. Please do not change this setting. If you need a channel that is not programmed, please contact our concierge.

Our W-LAN network is available to you free of charge. Use the WiFi network "040Apartment Business" for this. You will receive the password from our concierge.

For your refreshment, we have provided you with a bottle of water in the fridge upon arrival. You are welcome to purchase additional bottles from our concierge.

In the basement you will find our laundry room with washing machines and dryers. These are available to you for a fee of €2.50 per wash load and €2.00 per dryer load. The machines are activated by inserting coins into the corresponding machines on the wall. Washing capsules can be purchased from our concierge.

The Mundsburg pharmacy is located directly on Mundsburger Damm.

It is open during the week from 08:30 - 18:30 and on Saturdays from 09:00 - 14:00. In case of emergency, you can also contact the emergency medical service which can be reached at + 49 (0) 40 22 80 22.

The Schanzenbäckerei is represented with 2 shops within walking distance. Once in the Mundsburg Center and also in the Mundsburg underground station. Special tip: This branch is also open on Sundays if you want fresh bread rolls but want to have breakfast in the comfort of your apartment. You will find the coffee shop Double Coffee right on Mundsburger Damm and will also provide you with coffee and snacks throughout the week.

You will find the U-Mundsburg bus stop (line 18 +  25) on Mundsburger Damm – in the direction of the U-Bahn. You can find the bus stop Averhoffstraße (lines 6 + 17) by exiting the building and turning left onto Averhoffstraße and following it until you reach Hofweg.

You can reach the airport by public transport in about 35 minutes. Take the U3 from Mundsburg underground station and change to the S1 in Barmbek in the direction of the airport.

At the port you will find a variety of providers for harbor tours. But we find the harbor particularly beautiful during the light tours in the late evening.

The UCI cinema is located in the Mundsburg Center at the Hamburger Meile, just a few minutes' walk away.

Have it conveniently delivered to your apartment. There are various delivery services in Hamburg. Rewe, Lieferando, Flink, Flaschenpost - just ask our concierge.

If you are a guest in Hamburg, you must not miss seeing a musical. In addition to the Lion King and the Ice Princess in the Stage Theater at the harbour, Hamburg also offers other stages and various theatres. On the ground floor you will find some brochures about current events or tips for trips in Hamburg.

We can recommend these restaurants and they are worth a visit: 

Anleger 1870 – romantic restaurant with Mediterranean cuisine

Zimmer 34 – markedly tasty and only 10 minutes by foot. 

Feuerschiff Hamburg – located in the harbor and besides gastronomy they also offer live cultural events.

The port and the Landungsbrücken, the Speicherstadt, the Elbphilharmonie & the Michel are certainly well-known destinations. But the planetarium in the city park, Planten und Blomen and our fish market at the harbor are also worth a visit.

But you would rather explore the surrounding area? We recommend the weekly market at Goldbekufer, it is one of the most beautiful in Hamburg and takes place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8:30 - 13:00.

The Hamburger Meile with a wide selection of fashion shops as well as everyday shops can be found right around the corner next to the Mundsburg Towers. The shopping area on Jungfernstieg and at Mönckebergstraße can be easily reached with the U3 from the nearby underground station.

The Outer Alster, which is practically around the corner, is ideal for the next run. If you prefer to go to a gym, you will find the Aspria in Hofweg or the Holmes Place at Hamburger Meile.

The fire alarm is a loud beep. When this sounds, it is no longer allowed to stay in the room or use the elevator. Only the stairs and emergency stairs may be used. The emergency exit is signposted on each floor on either side of the corridor. You will also find an emergency plan in the room on your room door. Please proceed to the designated assembly point in the event of a fire alarm.

Our Apartment040 is a non-smoking house, so smoking is not permitted in the room or in the public areas. Failure to do so will result in a special cleaning fee of €250.00. If a fire alarm is triggered by unauthorized smoking, the resulting costs must be paid immediately on site. There are ashtrays on the side next to the entrance.

Please adhere to the generally applicable quiet times between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. and play music at maximum volume so as not to disturb other tenants. For the sake of form, we would like to mention that noisy parties are not permitted.

Something can always break or be damaged, and we fully understand that. However, please report this to our concierge immediately so that we can arrange for a replacement or repair. In the event of serious damage caused by the tenant, the latter is liable for the damage incurred.

In your apartment you have the option of separating your rubbish using the various rubbish bins. If you would like to dispose of the waste outside of the cleaning cycle, you will find waste containers in our parking lot. We ask you to separate the waste into paper, residual waste and recyclables. Thank you
